Your Midwife in Cairns

At The Midwife's Nest, we're led by Narelle Ashworth, a Registered Nurse and Endorsed Midwife with a Master of Midwifery and prescribing qualifications. Narelle has worked across public and private healthcare in Cairns for many years, with a particular interest in fertility and early pregnancy care. She's a member of the Queensland Nurses and Midwives' Union (QNMU), the Australian College of Midwives and the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand, and recently attended the ESHRE fertility conference in Paris to continue developing her clinical knowledge. Founded in 2017, The Midwife's Nest was created to give Cairns women more time, continuity and individualised support throughout pregnancy and the early postnatal period, alongside their GP and the Cairns public maternity service.
